We have always loved traveling, and from the time that we started dating, made it one of the biggest priorities in our lives. Collectively, we have been to nine countries, almost all 50 States, and are always dreaming of more. However, like most people in the “real world,” quitting our jobs to travel full-time is simply not a viable option (school loans really put a damper on travel and overall happiness).

This is where Real World Travelers comes in.

We are normal people with full-time jobs that also happen to have a terrible case of wanderlust. If you’re like us, you’ve come to the right place!

Our dream for this site is to share our own experiences traveling the globe. We hope to provide useful insights for those that also live in the “real world,” and to show how traveling while also paying off student loans IS in fact, possible! We plan to share tips on how we prepare for trips, our own personal trip itineraries, city guides, and posts about every-day life in Japan.

Thanks for stopping by!

My husband and I really want to start traveling more now that we’re not (completely) poor newlyweds. We have a six year old that we LOVE showing new places! I’ll be following your page even more!

    • Thanks so much for stopping by! Traveling is so much more convenient and affordable these days, so I hope you’ll find some inspiration here!

We want to keep traveling once we have kids, and eventually hope to turn this into a family travel blog. There’s really so much you can do with kids, especially ones that are a little bit older. 🙂
